Scathing Mad

I hope you all enjoyed watching the race today, I didn't.

No I mean I really didn't.

That's right, TSN - the Total Sports Network, ESPN affliate, and official NASCAR station in Canada - isn't televising the race until 11:00 am Monday morning!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was reduced to listening to the fuel starved ending of the race in my father-inlaw's driveway on my van's radio because his stereo in the house couldn't get the MRN broadcast of the race from WGR 550am in Buffalo.

TSN really stands for 'Totally Screws NASCAR' fans.

They aren't even doing it on a sameday tape delay, they are playing Sportscentre right now followed by the Switzerland Euro Cup game and then by Sportscentre again. Correct me if I'm wrong, but even if Switerland wins they still can't advance because of their loss to Turkey so what's the point in broadcasting it?

I know, contract obligations.

I'm not getting my hopes up though, since TSN elected to cover the US Open today instead of the NASCAR race they will probably pre-empt the race for the golf playoff between Tiger Woods and Rocco Mediate.

I'm done. I don't have anything else to say until (if) I watch the race tomorrow night, except that scathing mad does not really cover how I feel right now.

I can't even watch a tape delayed race. If it's over, then tell me where they placed and I'll catch the next one. I was able to see quite a bit on that new race buddy thing on nascar.com.

I feel your pain man... The race was a real nail biter at the end, and the obvious feeling of relief when Junior got out of the car was PRICELESS!
