It doesn't just have to be NASCAR, it is a shame when any driver in any racing series dies while racing.

I have had the pleasure of seeing Scott race in Columbus, Ohio back when he was in Top Fuel Dragster.

My thoughts and prayers go out to his family.

I can't believe it........I tuned in to ESPN2 right at the end of NHRA qualifying Sat. didn't hear anything but the way it closed out I had a thought....did someone die? Didn't know until I saw your blog..........I'm so sorry. God Bless, Mike.

This is so sad, another death in drag racing. The older tracks cannot hold this kind of power and either have to be lengthened or the race shortened to 1000 ft. or the 1/8th mile.This is one death that could have maybe been avoided. Anyone can tell you that concrete has no part in being at the end of a race track no matter if there is a road their or not.John Force & Company have put millions into making these missles safer now it is the track owners turn to step up to the plate.We have witnessed every type of pro vehicle in the trap sand this year including the bikes.Hello owners, are you there ?
