'Superman' Jimmie Johnson Wins Lowes Last Race at Charlotte
'Mark Martin still looking for Kryptonite'

Jimmie Johnson wins the last race at Lowes Motor Seedway with his car sponsor being the same as the track sponsor. Lowes will no longer hold the naming rights to the former Charlotte Motor Speedway.
Jeff Gordon also had a strong run but it hard to take over the point lead when the guy you're trying to take it from finishes ahead of you all of the time.
Mark Martin had a horrible day, but still managed to stay in the top 20 considering how bad he truly ran.
Speaking of people having bad runs, Juan Montoya had his worse finish all year Saturday night along with Denny Hamlin, Carl Edwards, and Dale Earnhardt Jr..
After the race Montoya Twittered, "Had a fast car just really bad luck..... ." Indeed he did, on both counts.
Kasey Kahne also reported a vibration in the right front during the last run and that is why he wasn't able to keep up with Jimmie.
I believe that Johnson is now tied for 13th(?) on the all-time win list with Buck Baker and if Jeff Gordon would have won he would have bee tied with Cale Yarborough. Some good names to associated with for sure.
You know who impressed me was Ryan Newman. I know he didn't win the race but I think he ran a good smart race none-the-less and still got a good finish.
O.K. I'm getting tired so I'll be back tomorrow with more of my thoughts about the race.
Take Care.

Well, you know what I think. Johnson and his team seem to be earning it, of course, but I am not liking it one bit. Maybe this is how everyone who hated Richard Petty back when I was a little girl felt. Maybe I should just sit back and enjoy history being made in front of me, but….ick, no. I do not want to see the Championship decided next week and an easy coronation path for Johnson’s fourth, that’s for damn sure.
I was really hoping that Kahne could pull out a win and open up the Chase, since it was pretty obvious Stewart and Montoya couldn’t, but thanks for explaining about the vibration in Kahne’s car. (We were flicking back and forth between the race and two hockey games last night, so we missed that.)

I think you
are right with the Petty comparison.

Hoping for a comeback for the 24, but what Jimmie’s doing is truly special and I’ll be the first to applaud him if he gets #4 this year. That dude flat out races his butt off, and I’ve got nothing but respect for him.
