Open Thread for The Aaron's 499 at Talladega
Before I get to the normal raceday thread stuff I just want to say I was really displeased with the coverage of yesterday's Nationwide race.
I can't believe that ABC/ESPN would cut to a clearly upset and pregnant Katie Kenseth crying as she walked off pit road with Ryan Newman's wife, Krissie before Matt's car even came to a stop and before we even knew the status of Matt's condition.
Since I know there are minors that read this site I will not say what I really want to about this but let me be perfectly clear when I say tasteless is an understatement for what they did.
OK now for the regular open race thread stuff.

I have a family function to attend today but I should be back in time for the end of the race - we'll see - but don't let that stop you all from posting away.
How about you tell me your thoughts on the whole Kenseth thing from yesterday too - I would be interested in knowing them.
Take care, and remeber to comment and comment often.

Do you think the
crew change at RCR between the 29 and the 07 will yield positive results for the organization?

Do you think
Hendrick motorsports will win its 4th race in a row with a different driver – with Jr being the only one left to win out of the 4 drivers?
or
Do you think Hendrick Motorsports will wins its fourth race in a row but with one of the other three drivers?
or
Do you think they don’t stand a snowballs chance in hell of winning its 4th in a row as an organization?

When do you
think the big one will happen – beginning, middle or end?
or do you think it won’t happen at all this time around?

OK really
what do you think of the retro pepsi look of the 24 car?
I like it, but is still suits the old G body style of the early 80’s GM cars though, but a good tribute to the past none-the-less.

I don't know if
getting just fuel and no tires is a good idea – time will tell.

I hate commercials
just as i start to get interested in the race after the last set of commercials they go back to commercials again.

The really need to put safer barriers
on each and every single wall arond all of these tracks – glad that they at least put it on the inside wall on part of the inside wall, but it really needs to be on every square inch of wall at each and every track.

I'll post my race reactions tonight
after the kids go to bed.
Thanks for being here again this week 24 – even though I wasn’t here for most of it. I appreciate it.

I appreciate the fact that
Carl didn’t pass blame on Brad – he maned up!
Good for him – that is what NASCAR needs more of.

I hope the
tv ratings will go up so they can charge more for commercial spots and have less commercial breaks so we can see more racing.
