Kyle Busch Goes Pete Townsend In Victory Lane
O.K. some of you are not going to agree with me on this but oh well so here goes:
That guitar trophey was Kyle's - he won it and he could do anything he wants to with it, including doing a Pete Townsend imitation circa 1966 in victory lane.
Ever since they started handing out guitars as trophies I've been wondering when someone was going to smash the heck out if in victory lane and now the wait is over.
You know, if Sam Bass doesn't care then why should we?
Maybe Kyle started a new trend now and they'll start making two trophey guitars instead of one; one to smash and one to keep and then you can auction off the smashed one for a charity of the winner's choice.
How about that?

No one needs to be upset over this
The Gibson people thought it was great, he is giving the pieces to his crew, and he ordered TWO more of the same.
I don’t like Busch but I thought it was pretty cool.

Yet another childish act by the most immature person in Nascar that includes the drivers kids.

Well, Sam Bass WAS upset by this
as came out on Monday. Which means Kyle outright lied about asking Sam beforehand. Do you still stand by your opinion?

Hey Pamm
Yes I do. He won it and he could do whatever he wants with it. Sam was paid for his services on the guitar and the new owner can do whatever he wants to it regardless of whatever anyone else might think. Don’t get me wrong I cringed when I saw that guitar hit the ground and I certainly feel for Gibson and Sam Bass, but the guitar was his and he did what he wanted with it and no one can tell him otherwise – unless NASCAR introduces a new ‘destruction of trophy’ rule.
Maybe this trend will continue and someone will take a sledge hammer to the Martinsville Grandfather clock in victory lane. Come on admit it wouldn’t you like to see Jeff Gordon or Jimmie Johnson go ape on the grandfather clock just once.

Nascar Fans
Apparently they don’t know what they want…they constantly complain about how boring all of the current ‘corporate shill’ drivers are, yet when something like this happens, they jump all over Kyle Busch for stepping out. I’m beginning to think they’re gonna b*$&^ and complain no matter what happens.
Like Bob said…it’s his trophy, he can do as he pleases with it. There obviously was no disrespect intended towards Gibson and Sam in particular, just a guy out there having some fun. As was mentioned, he ordered 2 more (one for him and one for his CC), so Bass makes out alright in the end as well.

+1
The older fans hate acts like this, but the younger fans love it and know that the sport needs it to get ratings up. This isn’t your fathers NASCAR any more… people need to lighten up, kyle is just nascar’s TO or Chad Ochocinco
