Hall of Fame
I am way exicted about the NASCAR Hall of Fame opening in May 2010 in Charolette. Definitely on the "Must Visit in my Lifetime" List. (Across the entire country, may be a little difficult to pull off, who knows...) But I was wondering if anyone has purchased on of those "Commemorative Bricks" and what they thought of them. I am interested in getting one, but I wanted some "purchaser comments". I know the number is 1(888)643-2757, but not much else.

I Don't Know Much About It But ...
I was thinking about buying a brick too. You should go to the web site to find out more. I don’t have it handy but I’m sure if you google it you’ll find it.
Anyone else have something else to add?
I bought one for my father. It has his name and says “Loving father and husband, race car driver, #1 Richard Petty fan”. He died when I was 7, and he is the one who got me into racing. When I told him I wanted to be the first woman to win the Daytona 500, he asked me if I was okay with being the fifth or sixth, and when I said yes, he started building my first (and last) soapbox racer with me. So I really felt a need to do it. Just to see that brick alone, I’ll have to go, but of course there are many other reasons.
I wish the Hall of Fame could’ve been in Daytona ‘cause that’s where I grew up, but Charlotte’s good, too.
