Johnson Again

How many  times have we heard Jimmie say in the last 10 laps or so, I don't no what's going on with my  car  but  it's running better than it has all day!  and wins the race.  I am so sick of him winning, "come on people find out how he is cheating"  I know I can't be the only one that feels this way!!  Check out my poll on this.

I hear you, but

your poll is a little one sided don’t you think? I mean it is either Yes or No but not both – right?

Love the poll

I voted yes or no.

I agree with Athletic

He’s just better than the rest! Who else has won the CH. 4 X?

Seems a little Bill Belichek like

Tells everyone that his car hasn’t been good all day? I doubt it. I though nascar rules said as soon as the yellow came out the field was frozen at the last mark. Now suddenly we are racing to the yellow again? Kyle Busch gets put a lap down because of Keso and Johnson just strolls to the win? Seemed a bit like nascar playing with grey areas again to get Johnson back up front.

C'mon Lisa

You don’t really think Johnson is cheating do you? Besides, if you hate Jimmie you should be encouraged by yesterday’s race. His car had faded to a 6-10th place car in the second half of the race before the Keslowski caution handed him the lead. (Harvick was still better than him at the end of the race before he hit the wall too) It’s possible that other have closed the gap.

There was a silver lining yesterday for Johnson haters. In past years I think it was more car and skill than luck; but yesterday it was more luck.

Johnson did an Earnhardt like thing taking a 5th place car and winning!

Kevin Harvick had a better car and should have won the race. He caught Jimmy and then hit the wall had he not hit the wall I belive he passes Jimmy and wins

Bad pick Peyton "Regular Season" Manning!!!

I agree Athletic

One of the reasons Johson seems so lucky (although he was lucky yesterday) is because he takes advantage of every break he gets. Other drivers get break too, he just takes advantage of more of them.

A couple of other funny things I saw today regarding this issue

1) Kevin Harvick had this quote after Sunday’s race

“They’re really good, but they’re really, really lucky too. Jimmie is a good friend mine, but there’s no denying how lucky they are. They have a golden horseshoe stuck up their a—.”

2) I also saw this hilarious quote on another Nascar site from a Jimmie Johnson hater.

“Jimmie Johnson is the luckiest driver ever. It’s like he sold his soul to Robby Gordon…….uh…. I mean the devil.”

One way to solve the driver vs. luck question

Boot him from Hendrick and make him drive for someone like BAM racing. If he’s that good, he’ll still win. Fer cryin out loud, he gets the cream of the crop of equipment, has an uber-genius for a crew chief, and gets the breaks, whether via luck or some NASCAR manipulation. You or I could win constantly under those conditions. (OK, so we couldn’t obviously, since Jr. can’t).

Regardless, unless you’re an XYZ fan, if XYZ ran so good and won all the time, you’d hate it.

It's not that I don't hate it

it’s that I think the 48 TEAM is that good. Jimmie is a part of that team and the communication he has developed with Knaus is second to none. Would Jimmie be as good without the 48 team? I don’t think so, but I also don’t think the 48 team would be as good without Jimmie even if you put another superstar driver in that car. The key to the 48 team’s success is that all the pieces fit together like a puzzle and this allows them to do all the little things right. And as we saw last Sunday, little things make big differnces.

Johnson is a good driver, but he’s not 4 championships in a row good. He had a full season in the Busch Series and won 1 race. Just one. That was without Hendrick and Chad. Even David Gilliland won a Busch Race. If Johnson was in the 29 and Harvick was in the 48, Johnson would have, maybe one championship, Harvick maybe two. Maybe three.

I sort of agree

Jimmie by himself is not 4 championships in a row good but he’s part of a team that is 4 four championships in a row good and maybe 5 or six championships in a row good. Jimmie’s a major part of that team and I’m not going to take that away from him.

Jimmie's like Lebron,

we get too much of him and we are sick of him, but the media idolizes him. It’s sickening

Worst Cheater ever!

Through the years cheating was expected in NASCAR. All the good drivers in years past did it. They still are. JJ and Chad are NO better than any of the top teams in the garage. They will be caught! They work for a man who would have been in jail had he not been sick and payed his way out!
