Sunny and not a cloud in the sky!
I posted this 20 min ago and it didn’t appear – WTH is going on? Anybody else have this issue?
Wasn't a problem for me

So what is the deal with Elliot Sadler?
I see the sponsor is Stanley, ok .
The car is a Ford, ok.
The team is Richard Petty Motorsports, I get the feeling his season is doomed.
The owner is George Gillete Jr, why have I never heard of this name before?
The crew chief is Wally Rogers, I’m relieved to find out he worked for Andy Petree cuz I was a big Harry Gant fan when Petree was his crew chief.
Are my doomed season feelings in order?
Anyone have more info to share?

1 lap down after only 47 laps...
Can it be all his fault?
Does Petty Motorsports have more than 1 car in Cup?

George Gillete Jr
owns the montreal canadians NHL franchise and the Aresnal (i think) soccer franchise, but I heard he was trying to sell it amd I don’t know if he did or not.
Great for me
I’m reduced for hoping for the lucky dog…

I am still going to stay here this is my only NASCAR site now
Bad pick Peyton "Regular Season" Manning!!!
Why are there two sites with race threads on SB Nation sites?

sorry i haven't been around
I’ve been watching the canada vs USA hockey game.
3rd period just started Canada leading 2-1 – we’ve hit the post 2 times in the first 2 minutes.
This is the Jeff Gordon show! Will it last?
I guess we will see

Why
isn’t there a link to you blog at http://www.sbnation.com/nascar

I'm sure that is an oversight for now
They were in such a rush to get Jeff up and running in time for the Daytona 500 they put certain things on the backburner. Jeff just added me to his Twitter list this week so I’m sure a link is coming soon.
I’ll mention it to the tech guys this week to see where we’re at with that.
Good observational skills son!
Lol but seriously why would they have more than 1? Do sports teams have more than 1 blog on here? No
Bad pick Peyton "Regular Season" Manning!!!
OK You're Right ... sort of ...
if you look at the way SBN is arranged they have their sport team blogs like mine (if you can call it a team), but they also have their mainpages where the various editors put up their own sport specific stuff as well as stuff from the blogs. Jeff is the NASCAR editor and that is where he puts up his stuff and where he is to show case stuff from NASCAR RnR.
I may be wrong here but it is my understanding that there will eventually be a motorsports page at sbnation.com that will be the jump off page for all forms of motor racing thatt will lead to Jeff and then to us here – we’ve got NASCAR covered with NASCAR RnR and Indy cars with Pop Off Valve and I know they are looking at expanding to F1 and NHRA (any suggestions? Please let me know). This is similar to what they do with football, hockey etc. already.
Motor Racing is unique because all of its teams play toether in one match every week where as other nonmotorized leagues have only two teams play each other at a time. Can you imagine if NASCAR only ran races each week with two cars on the track at a time?
There has been talk about this amongst the higher ups and with myself before Jeff even got here – do we expand our NASCAR coverage to include more NASCAR sites at the expense of this site or do we look for driver specific sites to add (ie. Dale Jr site, a Johnson site, a Biffle site, etc.) and if so will there be a demand for them that is large enough that advertisers would want to advertise on? Or do we look for more NASCAR sites to add that are different than this one like a NASCAR fantasy site or just a Nationwide site or just a truck site? (again any suggestions would be greatly appreciated)
I appreciate your support along with others who have said the same in emails, really – it makes me feel good that I’ve got NASCAR RnR going in the right direction, but I feel that this formula that SBN is working with is the right way to go if it is done properly and it will lead to increased interest in NASCAR RnR and allow us to expand and become a leader in NASCAR Blogging. If I didn’t believe that I’d pulled the plug and gone back on my own taking everyone here (including you) with me if they would be willing to go but that would have been their choice.
I hope I answered that question for you – if not shoot me an email and I’ll try to better explain it. Thanks.
As for the rest of you out there, shoot me an email if you have any suggestions as to what you want to see around here at NASCAR RnR or what you would like to see SBN do with their motorsports coverage; more NASCAR sites (and if so what?), F1, NHRA, ARCA, etc.? Let’s hear it from you the fan!

Thanks!
I'm not against more than one Nascar sites
but I think the race threads should be in the same place. In other words your race thread and Jeff’s race thread should be in the same place. I think it would help both sites because traffic from both would interact with each other.
I havn’t really been able to post during the races so far because I’ve been busy and recorded them on TIVO and you really can’t post on here live without ruining the outcome. However, if you married the two communities for the race threads I think I would be really tempted to show up more during race threads when I’m watching it live.

From what I’m understanding about this, added to thoughts like:
PS — Alright, Gluck, I finally checked this out. You’ve got to figure out how to get a real chat room on here, friend!(taken from this comment on the SBNation race thread)
Maybe you two could work out: The raceday thread on his page, actually being a link, to the raceday thread on your page. I’m sure the folks chatting in the threads would enjoy it more. I assume the loss of “his” traffic would probably be the biggest issue.
