NASCAR Ranting and Raving's Weekly Link Share: Red Bull Withdrawal Edition

SONOMA, CA - JUNE 25: Brian Vickers (R), driver of the #83 Red Bull Toyota, speaks with Kasey Kahne, driver of the #4 Red Bull Toyota, during practice for the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Toyota/Save Mart 350 at Infineon Raceway on June 25, 2011 in Sonoma, California. This week we got the news that Red Bull Racing would be leaving at the end of this year.  The only person really involved in this is Brian Vickers, as Kasey Kahne was already leaving at the end of the year.  Vickers has been with Red Bull since they first came to NASCAR.  Vickers gave Red Bull it's first and only win, as well as it's first and only Chase berth.  Cole Whitt is also a Red Bull driver, but when Red Bull leaves, the team may stick around with Cole.  Whitt already has another sponsor helping him this year.  What was my point?  Oh here, Check out Pop Off Valve's great article explaining the Red Bull situation.

This week in Nationwide is Road America.  NNSRacing has a great article about Jacques Villeneuve's return to Nationwide.

Let's give a little love to Brian Vickers this week, as a very talented driver may be out of a ride at the end of the year.  Check out Brian's site, as well as his twitter page and don't forget his Facebook.

Let's get the trifecta for Cole Whitt.  He has Facebook, Twitter, and a great Website.

In 2000, we lost young Adam Petty.  His father, Kyle, started a camp for kids called the Victory Junction.  In 2009, Richard Petty merged his team with Gillett-Evernham, making Kyle Petty unemployed.  Petty has since latched on as a part time commentator and frequent SPEED TV host, but we haven't gotten that constant Victory Junction reminder that we had when he was a driver.  Check out the official Victory Junction website.

GWC Finish:  Here's a little something for your viewing pleasure.....
