This week NASCAR returns the Irish Hills of Michigan. Kasey Kahne  will start on the pole with Jimmie Johnson rounding out the front row. There is a risk of thundershowers Sunday, so hopefully there will be a race.

 This weekend  the second of two road course races takes place at Watkins Glen. Along with the usual cast of characters, this race will also see some road course "ringers"  in the field.  Qualifying will take place Saturday morning.

DGilliland2010  Well... practice just got over and we are right on the edge. The car was loose into turn 9 and we have had a hard time there.

jpmontoya  had a good practice, but i think we still need a little bit of speed.

TravisKvapil  We made some gains on the cars handling today. Still got a ways to go. Tomorrow we qualify at 11am.

AJDinger  Happy to be staying at RPM and building a future with them. Insignia Best Buy Ford was pretty good today. Getting some rest, ready 4 quali.

  This weekend the race takes place at Indy for the Brickyard 400. Juan Pablo Montoya will start on the pole with Jimmie Johnson rounding out the front row. It's very hot in Indy which should make for some interesting racing. Congratulations go out to Ron Hornaday for his win last night in the truck race. He will attempt to repeat that tonight as he races in the Nationwide race.

  This weeks race is in Chicago for a night race. Jamie McMurray captured his third pole of the season, with Jimmie Johnson rounding out the front row. Following last nights Nationwide race, in which a late race caution for debris was called Denny Hamlin had this to say

jjyeley1  well that sucked! we were just to loose on throttle to give it enough gas. we just lost our base line on the car in 2nd practice.

  The site for this weeks race is New Hampshire Motor Speedway. Juan Pablo Montoya won the pole with Kasey Kahne rounding out the front row. After last weeks race Jeff Gordon gained himself a few enemies. Unfortunately for Martin Truex Jr. he seems to have attracted a few haters of his own. Namely in the form of Gordon fans on Twitter. This week he retweeted several hate tweets that were sent to him.

  After two weeks of racing at home in Charlotte this week the Cup Series heads to the tricky triangle of Pocono. Kyle Busch captured the pole position with Clint Bowyer starting 2nd.
